One of America's native breeds, the American Foxhound is also one of our rarest. This tall hound sports a close, hard coat that can be any color. Most of us will probably agree that how we taste our food changes how we see food as either appetizing or not. Our taste buds can number from 2,000 to 10,000 receptors that allow us to tell sweet from sour, or salt and bitter. This has allowed us to associate food as either something we'd want to eat or avoid altogether. For instance, most of us will find foods that have high salt content to be unpleasant and unpalatable.
