The Australian Cattle Dog (or ACD) also known as the Australian Heeler or Cattle Dog, was originally bred in New South Wales, Australia by Thomas Hall, a cattle farmer who bred dogs and dingoes he had tamed to produce a new canine breed that later became known as Halls Heelers. Later on, other Australian breeders started cross-breeding dingoes with other popular breeds like Collies, Dalmatians and Kelpies.
