JW Pet GripSoft Double Row Undercoat Rake

I have a giant breed puppy with medium long fur. The dog sheds twice a year. He dislikes other brushes. Since he is so big and toothy, his opinion is not to be ignored. He is absolutely fine about this one. He seems to even like it. It takes lots of hair out without pulling. I also use it regularly to brush out the foxtails out of his fur.

I've tried every "this is the very best ever" brushes on my Aussie and this one tops them all. She is not a huge fan of any rake, but she laid still for an entire grooming. A few days ago I brushed her out pretty thoroughly in anticipation of this arriving, just to see if it could get some of the undercoat and mats that my other tools couldn't. Now there's half a dog's worth of new fur all over my backyard. The tool looks like it might be a little vicious on sensitive skin, but this dog is the world's biggest wuss and she actually closed her eyes and totally relaxed. All I can say is BUY IT!

I read the other reviews before purchasing this brush, and they weren't kidding...this removes so much fur, I could probably stuff a pillow with it. We have border collie/Great Pyrenees mix dogs, and this rake does an incredible job at removing the undercoat with pretty minimal effort. In a very short brushing session, I can easily get a large handful of hair off of each dog. It is saving my vacuum and floors during this shedding season! The brush itself is well made in one piece, which makes the handle sturdy and comfortable to hold. Our other rake broke because the handle and the head were two pieces that eventually separated. This will not happen with this brush. Very pleased!!!

We have a dual coated Pomsky (pomeranian husky mix) and you better believe this boy knows how to shed like no one's business. Our stainless steel comb just wasn't doing the job. This lifted the fluffy stuff under the top layer right off near effortlessly. I have already recommended this to friends and if for some reason I lose the one we have, I would definitely order this again.

This combs great and he loves being groomed - must feel good.
I might buy a 2nd one have an an extra.
Only thing that would improve it....to have a small suction attached to the comb!!
