One of my two dogs (both labs) started working on this as soon as I sat it out and within a few hours he had the bully stick pulled out of the center. It was pretty funny to walk into the living room and find a hollowed out rawhide bone laying in the middle of the floor, abandoned. But by the next day my two dogs had started in on the rawhide portion of the bone again and eventually between the two of them they finished it off.
Having a bully stick in the center certainly made them more interested in chewing this right away rather than taking their time or possibly not even eating it at all. The bully stick center was a big hit. And even though they did pull it out and eat it first, they did go back to the rawhide portion of the bone afterwards and finish it. So this rawhide/bully stick combo was a big hit and something I would definitely get again. Especially because giving my dogs full size bully sticks seems to not sit will with their stomachs. So having just a small portion of a bully stick inside this bone works well for them. It makes them work a little at getting to it, giving them something to chew on for a while. Great new idea for a chewy treat.
