    People are stupid

After reading multiple reviews for heaters from all different type of manufacturers, I decided to purchase this Aqueon 100watt for my BioCube32 salt water because the one I had was so inaccurate.
Let just say, some of you people writing reviews are idiots! I read where one said the unit never even turned on and yet it cooked his fish!

Let me just say, I opened the box. I placed the heater in my tank for about 30 minutes before powering it on. I took a reading in my digital thermometer and it was 80.4 which I think is too warm for my men’s and palys (Palys were starting to bleach). After I plugged it in, waited 24 hours and my reading was 77.5 degrees. It’s been a month now and it has not moved one decimal point. I check before I go to work (4am) when I come home (3pm) and when I go to bed (10pm) and it never moves. It stays perfect! Now I know it states “78 preset” but I am fine with “77.5” because the main thing is stability. My men’s are growing great and my Palys are starting to green up again.

needs to remove stupid reviews because it doesn’t help.

I for one highly recommend this heater. I’ll be buying one for my 55gal cichlid tank.

    Tank heater

It seems to be doing its job. I like the compact design in my tank compared to bulky heaters I've had in the past. I bought this heater after my Eheim heater broke after only a few weeks of use. More expensive isn't always better!

    Reliable heater

I have three fish tanks. My original heater has to be adjusted and even though the setting confirmed the correct temperature, I almost cooked my fish! I love this heater. It is preset and is accurate. I tried it on one tank, then purchased for the other tank. The only drawback is that the heater is short. If you have a deep tank, you need to ensure you have adequate water to reach the heater. Conversely, the short heater is almost invisible so it doesn't clutter the tank.

Great Heater! Has NEVER let me DOWN!

I own 4 of these heaters- 1 for each tank & 1 spare. I have been using two for over 1 year now, they have never broken, underperformed, or given me any issues. 100% reliable IME.

    Perfect for a steady temp

Keep in mind this is a preset heater, meaning you cannot change the temp. I have this in a 32 gallon biocube saltwater. So this works fine. Actually keeps it at 79 degrees even being that the heater is 100 watts and rated for 30 gallons. It has no problem footing a few extra. The power cord is plenty long enough as well.
