I had my suspicions, ONLY BECAUSE OF OTHER REVIEWS.. but I’m 100% glad I bought this!!! The amount of fleas that were dead in my bath tub was ungodly. My poor kitten is about 10 weeks old and going threw hâ€eâ€ll because of fleas. She’s an indoor cat never been outside and I have no clue where they came from. I’ve bathed her in dawn dishsoap over 15 times in the last week, I’ve cleaned my house and sprayed and cleaned and washed bedding .. NOTHING IS HELPING. I sat there for hours picking fleas off my poor baby and killing them after dawn baths. Then I got this…. IT SAVED OUR LIVES. She is so soft and so happy now! It took roughly 5 washed (not back to back) and a bombing of my apartment to get them gone but it worked!!!! And it was almost completely because of this shampoo. I 100% recommend this!!
It’s the one shampoo that works in the summer when the bugs bite the most. You don’t want to use to much conditioner with this shampoo because that decreases it effectiveness. It doesn’t leave the hair extremely soft but it does the job of keeping fleas away and decreases bites and itching and takes nasty odors away. It doesn’t smell like anything but rather a neutral scent like baking soda. You don’t want to use to much and you DO NOT want to GET THIS IN YOUR EYES OR YOUR PETS EYES. Please be careful when rinsing or lathering especially around their eyes. THIS IS THE BEST SHAMPOO FOR SUMMER BUGS AND HEAT & for an EXCELLENT PRICE. WORKS BEST WHEN USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH HEART PREVENTION TAKEN ORALLY OR IV to help PREVENT HEART WORMS. Keep your pet summer clean!
I have used this pet shampoo on my dogs for decades. It kills fleas if, after lathering, you let the suds set on your pet for at least 10 minutes. The fleas will come out of hiding to the surface and you will see how many are really there, which can be helpful during warm months.
The shampoo is also blue, so the blueing dye really brightens white fur and makes your pet’s fur glisten! This is also my favorite smelling pet shampoo and if we are traveling with our pets we bathe them with this shampoo before we are in the car with them for hours. It helps us in tight travel spaces.
I have used many other shampoos and this one continues to be my combo- favorite because of having benefits from:
1) flea control,
2) clean scent, and
3) whiteness brightening.
Had an alarming flea infestation despite my dog was on pet armor flea prevention, then my dog gave my cat the fleas too. So put the cat on flea prevention and washed my dog with a flea shampoo that advertises as "natural". Well, it did work to kill most of the fleas, but I counted a handful of live ones using the flea comb. Two weeks passed and the flea problem didn't slow down. So I got this shampoo which contains pesticide and Precor, which in theory would inhibit flea eggs from hatching for 28 days. The result is amazing. The shampoo killed all of the adult fleas on my dog. I also steamed clean the entire wood floor because eggs can hide in the crack. Ever since then, I no longer find fleas on my dog and my cat. The shampoo also made my dog's fur super soft and shining.
The grass where we live is INFESTED with fleas. The minute my dog steps outside they are literally all over her. I thought she was safe with her monthly flea treatment, but that doesn’t stop them from hitching a ride back to your house. One evening as we were snuggling on the couch, I noticed black dots on her fur. Sure enough — fleas. Ugh. Shortly after, we had a BAD indoor flea infestation. We tried everything: Sprays, bombs, anti-this-and-that, and even tried new flea treatment for her. Nothing worked.
I was at my wits’ end. I went online and read the reviews about this shampoo and decided to give it a shot. My dog has short hair and weighs about 22 pounds. I first gave her a good rinse and made sure her coat was thoroughly soaked. I poured about a half-dollar size amount into my palm and started at the base of her neck and worked my way back to her tail and hind quarters. I left it on for about 4-5 mins. The shampoo has a nice, warm, subtle soft and clean fragrance. It left her coat feeling very clean and smelling great even days later.
By the third day, I saw about 5-6 fleas on her. I was disheartened :( Another failed attempt. I quickly took her to the tub to give her a wash and rinse with her regular shampoo.
As I was about to turn the water on, I noticed little black specks by her feet. I thought it was dirt. They were fleas! DEAD fleas! I looked her over and more came falling off, landing dead at her feet. It was gross but so amazing. While I was ecstatic at the results, it also reminded me to be cautious when using this shampoo. A little bit goes a long way, especially with a mild to medium infestation. No new flea bites in the last 3 days! I’m hoping it continues, thanks to this shampoo!
