5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what we needed

Exactly what we needed. Our 3 year old eventually figured them out, but she probably would have figured out anything we put up. We also use them as locks on our sliding office doors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps the 2-year-old from opening the window.

My husband had these installed within an hour of receiving them, and we had guests! Hubby tends to procrastinate, but these were so easy to install and so very needed that he just drilled the pilot holes and attached the locks. Easy peasy! It's been almost a week and so far the 2-year-old hasn't figured them out. She can unlatch the other two locks on our vinyl windows, but she hasn't bothered with this one. I'm hopeful it will last awhile, as our split-level home has an upper level living room with low windows. Oh, and they're easy enough for anybody else to open if we do need to open the window farther for some reason. So far, very pleased with this purchase and would buy again.

4.0 out of 5 stars so far, so good!

We got these after our two-year-old son figured out how to yank out the built-in window stops on his second-floor bedroom windows and push them all the way open (he had long since figured out how to unlock the windows). We looked at a million different things, but things like window bars were insanely expensive, particularly with the huge windows we have. I figured that for the price, these were worth a try. We've had them in for a couple months now and they are doing the trick. They were a little hard to install on vinyl windows, and because we have a configuration with two sash windows next to each other with no trim in the middle, we could only install these on one side of each window. But they seem to be working fine, and I worry so much less about our son falling out of the window. Excellent product, especially given the price!
