Advantix Flea and Tick Control for Dogs Over 55 lbs 4 Month Supply

Advantix

Regular price $67.99

5 Way Repel-and-Kill Pest Protection. K9 Advantix combines imidacloprid and permethrin to repel and kill ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes that may cross your dog's path. Each ingredient begins to affect pests through contact, attacking parasite nerve cells at different sites. When combined, the two compounds overwhelm the parasite's nervous system. This leads to rapid paralysis and death of the parasite. Prevents ticks from attaching; stops biting fleas; repels mosquitoes; treats chewing lice.

No need to reapply after a bath or weekly swimming; K9 Advantix is waterproof. Studies have shown your dog will still be protected after exposure to water—whether your dog has gone for a swim, has been given a bath or has been in the rain. For best results, dogs treated with K9 Advantix should be bathed with a non-detergent shampoo.

Features:

  • Kills fleas on dogs within 12 hours
  • Kills fleas before they lay eggs
  • Kills the flea larvae stage in the dog's surroundings following contact by a treated dog
  • Kills reinfesting fleas in 2 hours

Works better than generics & you can save $ by measuring exact dose for your dogs weight

I have switched back to these name brand flea drops from the cheaper generic brands ... They seem to work better.
Though they are way overpriced, given the pittance manufacturing requires to formulate them, I keep costs down by buying the largest dosages available and giving each of my two small dogs the exact number of liquid ml per pound required for their body weight.
Easy to do with blunt syringes you can order on (which have millimeter volume marked on the plastic) and you are subjecting your dog to the least amount of chemical toxins required to do the job.
I reseal the containers securely with plastic wrap plus blue dot clay "tacks" and store them upright in the medicine cabinet (I tape them in position on the shelf so they don't get jostled around).
Yes it's slightly tedious but a couple extra minutes saves twenty or thirty bucks a month and even more depending on the size of your dogs.

If humans and the military use it, my dog can too

LONG STORY SHORT: researched hours, this is the best flea/tick control for dogs.

Looked at the 3 ingredients: various militaries use 1 of the ingredients to protect against pests themselves, humans use the other ingredients for lice and other health conditions, use it directly on skin, etc.

I've looked at several natural alternatives and other dog flea medications, but this seems like the best for the value.
    1. Chews: I highly doubt yeast hemp garlic chews will do anything,
    2. Vet's Best Natural Spray: Im not drenching my dog in peppermint essential oils (toxic ingredient, many EOs are),
3: None of the other prevention meds help with mosquitos.
    4. Not spending $200 every 6 months to get prescription meds from the vet when you can get this for much less.

Every medication has side effects so just keep an eye out. It's hard to choose but just make sure you feed your dog actual GOOD food and you should be fine. Better the microscopic side effect chance than getting diseases from fleas/ticks/mosquitos/etc.

We all know people generally just leave reviews if something bad happens (and oftentimes its not the products fault, the top review here doesnt even make sense. Like how did this cause it? More coincidence than cause)

    Repels mosquitos

Next to heartworm preventative which you need to get by a licensed veterinarian this is the best thing besides heartworm preventative pills. it covers fleas and ticks, larvae, kills fleas and ticks, and repels mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are what Carry heartworm disease so although it is a repell by and not a preventative it’s not 100% affective against protecting against heartworm disease but it’s the next closest thing without going to your vet. When I worked at a veterinary hospital for those who didn’t want to give their dog a heartworm test this is the next best thing we recommended.

Has always worked great for my dog

I've used this for years and it works great. Our region has started having tick problems over the past couple of years yet we never find a live tick on our dog. We used prescription flea and tick meds for awhile, which was incredibly expensive. This is much more economical and every bit as effective. I do know of a dog that seemed to be sensitive to this when it was applied and reacted like he was being burned, so I suggest ordering the minimum amount at first so you know your dog will tolerate it.

Full fledged Conservative, Parasite free Dog!!

Unlike the Liberal agenda, there are no parasites living off my dog for free. If only we could line our borders with Advantix! Perhaps we could encase Democratic Legislation and Policy with Advantix to get all the freeloader things to fall off. Ahhh, in a perfect world. For now, my pup is happily supporting himself with the help of Bayer Advantix!
