This product has everything what a beginner needs. You just need to understand the fish what you are planning based on that use the heater or ignore it. The thermometer is stick-on. Mine didn't work (you can find out for just 2$.) The entire product is great, came up in nice packaging. I was browsing Facebook Market place for cheaper one, but this seems better.

We have only had this a week, but so far it is perfect. Great for beginners. It Has almost everything one needs to start a tank. We only had to buy pebbles for the bottom and fake plants.

Filter: It’s great because it has a really good filter. I recommend buying the ammonia pad for keeping it extra clean and fighting the ammonia battle in the beginning which is so difficult to deal with.

LED Lights: The light is nice. It’s bright, I know it’s a good light because my plants are healthy.

Lid: Low profile, has a flip lid on top which I LOVE.

Tank size: I have two African Dwarf Frogs, 3 mystery snails and a koi.

Overall: I would recommend. If you’re a beginner, you will appreciate it. It’s a full complete set. Comes with food and water conditioner (but definitely purchase more!

This is a fine tank that came with a nice quiet filter and a full hood. Didn't leak, everything fits. The only thing I don't like is the led lights. They are as bright as landing lights on an airplane. I'm not landing an airplane, and I certainly don't want to blind my fish. Crazy amount of lumens! I don't get it. Sure, your tank will look great from the excessive lighting, but in a month when your fish is bumping into walls you'll know why.
To the company: Please cut the output of your lighting in this set by 3/4 power.

This is a excellent tank for beginners! The tank comes with water heater, water filter and one cartridge, lighted hood a fish net, water conditioner and detailed instructions on how to set it up. Very simple set up with everything included...except the fish! 🐟 My fish were so happy to be upgraded from their 2.5 gallon tank! I would suggest buying additional filter cartridges as you will need them anyway. But, it does come with one filter cartridge for the filter. So, that will give you some time before it needs to be replaced.
