My dog has longer hair and the collars that are all the rage (basically the only ones available at the local stores) look nice but can get really dirty. Also, his hair would always get caught on the collars and I would periodically have to pull off hair from them. I love this collar and is hardly noticeable on him except where his tags pull it down. I probably would not hook a leash to it as it might break because he will sometimes pull really hard, but I have a halter for that.

When you need a chain that does not detract from all the grooming you have done this one does the trick.

This is a very nice collar. I for what I needed unfortunately it wasn’t the right fit for my dog. I am showing Chinese crested dogs, and the chain is way too long, and doesn’t hold well in the tightness. Like I said though, it is beautiful! I would recommend this more for Boston’s, bull dogs, etc with chubbier neck lines.

I received a 16 inch chain, too small for my Dalmatians, I will use it on my Sheltie, however.
