I ordered this brush for my standard poodle. The brush is great but not really for dogs with long hair. I keep her a bit shaggy (a doodle cut) so the pins on this brush were not long enough to reach the roots and in turn didn't prevent matting. That's my fault, not the brush's. LOL. If you have a dog with short to medium hair or fur, I would recommend this brush. If your dog has long fur or hair, you should probably invest in a brush with longer pins.
